Bus tour of Liverpool and environs
Commissioned by the 2004 Liverpool Biennial

Rosler's bus tour for the Liverpool Biennial took visitors in search of the city's past, seeking its rich history of migration from Viking times on, and the roots of its wealth in the slave trade. Traversing the city, passengers listened to a soundtrack of readings, both personal and fictional, representing diverse immigrant communities, accompanied by an abundance of historical images and maps. The tour included a vaunted road tunnel, a secret World War II staging room, a famous music club, a cellar refuge for Irish refugees, a workhouse, and religious institutions.
